Overview — 001

Catching a problem sooner rather than later almost always means a simpler, cheaper fix.

A check-up involves far more than a passing glance for holes. We look closely at your teeth, gums, existing restorations and wider oral health, keeping an eye out for the earliest hints of decay, gum disease, wear or anything else that could affect your smile. When an X-ray is clinically needed, it's part of the appointment rather than an extra charge.

  • In-depth examination from an experienced dentist
  • X-rays provided whenever they're clinically warranted
  • Dental problems spotted at an early stage
  • A mouth cancer screening included as standard
  • Tailored guidance for looking after your smile
  • Straightforward explanation of any treatment needed
The process — 002

How it goes, step by step.

4 stages
  1. 01
    5–10 min

    Medical history

We run through your medical background, listen to any concerns you'd like to raise, and find out what you'd like from your oral health going forward.

  2. 02
    20–30 min

    Comprehensive examination

Your dentist assesses your teeth, gums, bite and any existing dental work as part of a full oral health check.

  3. 03
    5 min

    X-rays (if required)

When it's clinically justified, digital X-rays are taken to reveal anything hidden from view.

  4. 04
    10 min

    Personalised plan

We explain what we've found, address any questions you have, and recommend treatment or preventative steps where they'd help.

The things people actually ask.

Can't see your question? Message us on WhatsApp — we'll reply the same day.

  • For most people, a visit every six months works well, though some need to come more or less frequently based on their own oral health. Your dentist will let you know what suits you.

  • Yes — whenever your dentist decides an X-ray is clinically needed during your visit, it's covered within the appointment fee.

  • First, we talk through your dental and medical background, then move on to a detailed look at your teeth, gums and mouth. We'll explain everything we find in plain terms, answer any questions and only then discuss what we'd suggest.

  • There's genuinely no need to feel awkward about it — many of our patients come back after long gaps between visits. We won't judge; we're simply here to help bring your oral health back on track.

  • Yes — every routine examination we perform includes a screening for oral cancer. Catching changes early can make a genuine difference to how things turn out.

  • Never. We'll walk you through anything we've found, lay out your options, answer whatever you'd like to ask, and leave any decision entirely in your hands.
